Scientific Vitality Coalition

We monitor the research vitality across the globe. Using both publicly available data, curating our own data, and thoughtful analysis we inspect the health of science on our planet. Our findings are summarized with the scientific vitality index.

The scientific vitality index measures the scientific health in a chosen geographic region of the world. The metric is based on academic, economic and social equality identifiers pertaining to the ability to conduct research freely. The purpose of the metric is to be transparent where research is and is not conducted free of government, social and economic barriers. We intend to publish the 1st version of the index here by the end of 2025. Stay tuned!
